Thursday, May 29 – QURE & SH8K (San Diego)
San Diego gets a double dose of dynamite on Thursday with QURE & SH8K behind the decks. QURE, a Philippine-born, Bay Area–raised turntablist, delivers an open-format explosion of hip-hop, house, and ancehall. He’s spent over a decade crafting genre-blending sets and clinched San Francisco’s 2019 “No Requests” DJ battle title. With residencies in NorCal and San Diego and stage time alongside heavyweights Zedd and DJ Mustard, he brings that experience to the SideBar booth with turntable finesse.
Next up is SH8K, one of San Diego’s most buzzed-about remix masters. An L.A.-born DJ/producer now repping SD, SH8K has built a reputation as an elite remixer whose bootlegs spin in clubs worldwide. He’s lit up venues from Chicago to Austin – often alongside hip-hop stars YG and Migos – and recently earned a coveted spot with DJcity’s record pool. As co-host of TheFlip on SiriusXM’s Globalization channel, he stays ahead of the curve on club anthems. His open-format style comes with an urban twist – he might drop a Bay Area hip-hop classic one minute and an electro-house banger the next, all mixed with veteran finesse.
