Wednesday nights at SideBar have historically showcased rising local stars dropping open-format sets. (Think SoCal favorites like DJ Steez, who has spent 14 years blending hip-hop, house, Latin and global bass to light up SideBar and beyond.) We don’t have the name locked in yet for July 22 – but fans can bet on a high-energy, genre-mixing DJ who’ll pack the floor. Keep an eye on SideBar’s socials for the lineup reveal. Past industry nights here have turned up homegrown heroes whose eclectic mixes range from Afro-house and Amapiano to festival-style pop bangers.
Thursday, July 23 – DJ To Be Announced
Thursday nights at SideBar often feature special guests or theme parties that crank up the glamour. We’re keeping our Thursday lineup under wraps (for now), but expect it to deliver exactly the kind of pumped-up crowd-pleasers SideBar is known for. Recent Summer Thursdays at SideBar have even brought in LA/Vegas talents to spin hip-hop and trap-heavy sets — imagine the vibe of the Deux Twins from last year, who lit up a party with deep basslines and hip-hop remixes. Whether it’s a powerhouse solo DJ or another surprise duo, July 23rd will bring the same luxury nightclub energy and sweat-it-out intensity: neon lights, VIP bottle service, and beats that keep everyone dancing well into the night.
Friday, July 24 – Shadowman
Headlining Friday is Shadowman, one of San Diego’s most versatile DJs. Originally from LA and now a fixture in the SD scene, Shadowman built his reputation as an open-format maestro. He spins everywhere from hip-hop and Latin to EDM, always “reading the room” because, in his words, “no two venues or crowds are the same”. A founding member of the local Roster DJs collective, he’s lit up hotspots like Oxford Social Club, Parq, and the Hard Rock’s Sunburn pool parties. He’s also co-host of Pitbull’s “Globalization” SiriusXM radio show The Flip, spotlighting fresh remixes and rising artists on a national stage.
SideBar promises Shadowman will bring “top-tier technique and infectious energy” to the decks. Expect an eclectic, party-starting set of hip-hop anthems, throwback gems and EDM bangers. Whether he’s dropping a familiar 90s classic or an underground track, he knows how to turn up the luxury club vibe.
