Thanksgiving Weekend 2026 at SideBar: DJ Five, Kaos & CRG

Enjoy premier talent and VIP bottle service at San Diego’s hottest nightclub! The guest list is free before 10 PM, so secure your spot now and prepare for a memorable night!

SideBar’s Thanksgiving week lands right when San Diego is ready to get social. Hometown reunions, packed calendars, and a long holiday weekend make the Gaslamp an obvious move, and this week’s lineup gives you three very different reasons to head downtown: Las Vegas veteran DJ Five on Wednesday, San Diego favorite Kaos on Friday, and Austin-based CRG on Saturday.

The setting fits the lineup. SideBar describes itself as an intimate boutique nightclub and lounge, pairing seasonal craft cocktails and luxury VIP service with a dedicated club side powered by live DJs and its signature lighting. It is polished without feeling too formal, which is exactly the balance this Thanksgiving-week run calls for.

Wednesday, November 25 — DJ Five: Pre-Thanksgiving Party

The biggest party night before Thanksgiving gets a headliner who knows what to do with a room that is ready to go out.

DJ Five, born Jerid Choensookasem, is a longtime Las Vegas fixture known for sharp turntablism, deep music knowledge, and open-format instincts that let him move naturally between hip-hop, throwbacks, club records, and current hits. His SKAM Artist bio traces more than 15 years in nightlife and long-running Las Vegas residencies, while Hakkasan’s artist profile emphasizes his hip-hop roots, technical mixing ability, and years within the Vegas club scene.

Five’s résumé also extends beyond solo sets. He teamed with fellow DJ Eric Dlux as FAED, a project that completed a nationwide tour and delivered a Diplo & Friends set. That history makes sense when you hear the way Five approaches open format: not as a playlist of unrelated hits, but as a chance to switch moods quickly while keeping the whole set connected.

His online presence keeps that same working-DJ energy. Five’s current Instagram points listeners toward Apple Music, Spotify, and Mixcloud while promoting dates across markets including Las Vegas and Los Angeles.

And he comes into Thanksgiving week with fresh Vegas momentum. Hakkasan booked DJ Five on October 16, 2026, while SKAM’s current event schedule specifically lists SideBar in San Diego on November 25. Expect recognizable records, hip-hop attitude, quick transitions, and enough left turns to keep Wednesday from sounding like a predictable holiday-party soundtrack.

Thursday, November 26 — Thanksgiving: Closed

Per the confirmed weekly schedule, SideBar is closed on Thanksgiving Day, November 26.

Think of Thursday as the reset between Wednesday’s Pre-Thanksgiving Party and the two-night weekend run ahead. Eat well, catch up with family, recharge, then come back ready for a very San Diego Friday with Kaos.

Friday, November 27 — Kaos

Kaos is a San Diego native who has spent more than a decade building his name through open-format club sets, custom edits, touring, and radio. His management bio lists performances at Oxford Social Club in San Diego, Prysm Nightclub in Chicago, and On The Record in Las Vegas, along with an international tour that reached the Philippines and Singapore. He also became a weekly host of Sunburn Radio on Pitbull’s Globalization on SiriusXM, giving his mixes and selections an audience well beyond Southern California.

This booking is especially right for SideBar because Kaos isn’t simply a touring name dropping into town. His current Instagram profile identifies him as a San Diego/California “party curator,” highlights his SiriusXM work, and references SideBar directly.

He has also stayed in heavy rotation at the venue throughout 2026. SideBar featured him on October 2, only weeks before this Thanksgiving-weekend return, and described his sound as a blend that moves through hip-hop, EDM, house, and club edits without feeling like disconnected playlists.

That flexibility is the appeal on a Friday. Kaos can work hip-hop into house, bring in Latin energy, flip something familiar through a custom edit, then change direction when the crowd is asking for something harder. In an intimate club where the DJ can read the room immediately, that kind of range matters. Friday should feel local, polished, social, and unpredictable in all the right ways.

Saturday, November 28 — CRG

DJ CRG performing at SideBar in the Gaslamp Quarter

Saturday goes Austin-to-Gaslamp with CRG, and his music library is much broader than a single genre label suggests.

Cristian Gomez, known professionally as DJ CRG, grew up in Houston before establishing himself in Austin’s nightlife scene. In a VoyageAustin profile, Gomez described becoming a full-time traveling DJ, working as a music editor for Club Killers, playing at nearly every major Austin venue, and handling DJ and artist bookings for a local hospitality group. That mix of performer and curator helps explain why his sets often feel intentional, even when the genres change fast.

His October 2026 schedule shows just how flexible that approach can get. On October 8, CRG hosted Late Check Out at Austin’s Volstead Lounge with a throwback-heavy concept spanning emo, 2000s hip-hop, and ’90s and 2000s pop. The following night, he was listed for another DJ set at East End Ballroom.

His social profile also shows his career expanding beyond Texas: CRG announced that he joined 4AM NYC Artist Agency for 2026, another sign of a DJ taking his touring footprint seriously.

SideBar already knows what he can do. CRG played the club on August 28, 2026, when SideBar described his open-format approach as moving through hip-hop, house, Latin rhythms, Top 40, and festival-inspired edits.

That makes him a strong Saturday closer. A throwback can turn into a heavier club record; a hip-hop run can give way to Latin or house; familiar vocals can appear over something completely different underneath. CRG’s strength is keeping those pivots feeling like part of the same night, not separate mini-sets.

Make Thanksgiving Weekend a SideBar Weekend

This lineup works because each night has its own personality.

DJ Five brings Vegas polish, turntable skill, and years of big-room experience. Kaos brings San Diego identity, radio reach, custom edits, and the instincts of someone who knows this local crowd. CRG arrives with Austin nightlife energy and a genre-flexible style that leaves plenty of room for surprise.

SideBar’s location in the heart of the Gaslamp makes it easy to build the night around dinner downtown and shift into the club once things get louder. Inside, the contrast between the cocktail-focused lounge and the high-energy club side keeps the experience social without losing its late-night edge.

Start Wednesday with DJ Five, take Thanksgiving off, then return Friday and Saturday for Kaos and CRG. For a crew planning a holiday reunion, birthday weekend, or simply a big night downtown, SideBar has three distinct reasons to make Thanksgiving week a Gaslamp weekend.
