SideBar Sept. DJ Lineup: Mixtape Massey, ALX CRTZ, Kaos & FC Zack

Enjoy premier talent and VIP bottle service at San Diego’s hottest nightclub! The guest list is free before 10 PM, so secure your spot now and prepare for a memorable night!

September is coming in hot at SideBar, and this week’s lineup fits the way San Diego likes to go out: polished enough for a dressed-up Gaslamp night, loose enough to let the music take over. SideBar blends an intimate lounge atmosphere, seasonal cocktails and VIP service with signature lighting and a club side built around high-energy DJ sets. At 536 Market Street, it sits right in the middle of downtown’s nightlife circuit without losing its boutique feel.

From Wednesday through Saturday, the sound changes every night. Mixtape Massey opens with wide-ranging open format, ALX CRTZ brings Chicago-meets-San Diego energy with serious reggaeton DNA, Kaos takes Friday with national-tour experience and deep local roots, and Four Color Zack closes Saturday with world-champion technique and unpredictable edits.

Wednesday, September 9 — Mixtape Massey

Mixtape Massey is made for a SideBar Wednesday because his sets are about range, not one narrow lane. Christian “Mixtape” Massey, a U.S. Navy veteran and familiar face in San Diego nightlife, moves through funk, soul, house, reggaeton, 2000s hip-hop, R&B, pop and alternative. The appeal is how naturally those pieces connect: a nostalgic favorite can slide into a current club edit without the night feeling forced. SideBar has repeatedly highlighted his upbeat open-format approach and his ability to move between old-school and current sounds.

He is also active across the city. Recent 2026 posts place him at Waterbar in Pacific Beach on August 21 and Park & Rec on August 22, while SideBar featured him again during its late-July run.  That steady local presence shows in his crowd sense. Expect recognizable hooks, quick genre changes and an upbeat start that gives Wednesday a real reason to stay out.

Thursday, September 10 — ALX CRTZ

ALX CRTZ brings a different kind of momentum on Thursday. The Chicago-rooted, San Diego-based DJ works open format, but his mixes show how broad that really is: hip-hop, reggaeton, house, funk carioca, baile funk and party records can all share space in one set. Venue bios credit him with residencies and guest appearances across both Chicagoland and San Diego, while his Mixcloud sets stretch from hip-hop and reggaeton to house and Brazilian-influenced sounds.

His local identity is especially tied to ¡Pon Más Reggaeton!, the San Diego party series connected with ALX CRTZ and built around classic reggaeton, newer edits and deeper cuts.  That foundation gives his sets personality even when he moves outside Latin music. He can pivot from perreo to rap, a throwback, house, or a pop singalong without losing the thread.

His Instagram presence currently sits at roughly 4,600 followers and reinforces his Chicago/San Diego identity.  SideBar also hosted ALX CRTZ for the Road to Baja Beach Fest stop on July 30, keeping him directly connected to one of the summer’s biggest Latin-music weekends.  Thursday should feel current, rhythmic, and distinctly San Diego.

Friday, September 11 — Kaos

Friday belongs to Kaos, one of the names most closely connected with San Diego club culture. His official bio credits him with more than 15 years of professional DJ experience, with performances extending from SideBar and other San Diego rooms to Chicago, Las Vegas and international dates. His management profile specifically traces bookings through markets including New York, Miami, San Francisco, Chicago and Las Vegas, as well as the Philippines and Singapore.

His style is open format at full speed: hip-hop, dance, Latin, pop and EDM can all enter the mix, with custom edits and tight transitions giving familiar records a harder nightlife edge. That local familiarity comes with a bigger-stage experience, too. Kaos became a weekly on-air host on Pitbull’s Globalization channel on SiriusXM and was later selected as a DJ for Pitbull’s 2021 I Feel Good U.S. tour.

That connection is still visible. Kaos recently highlighted a set at Pitbull’s San Diego show in front of a crowd of more than 20,000, while his social profile positions him as a San Diego DJ, creative and party curator.  Recent 2026 coverage also places him around SideBar, Park & Rec, Snapdragon Stadium and Quartyard.  Friday gets national polish with hometown timing.

Saturday, September 12 — Four Color Zack

Four Color Zack closes the week with one of the deepest résumés on the bill. The Seattle DJ and producer won the Red Bull Thre3Style World Championship in 2012 and is known for technically sharp, genre-fluid sets. Serato notes both his championship and his Fool’s Gold release with DJ Scene, while Insomniac describes a career moving comfortably between arena shows, Vegas megaclubs and underground parties.

He is not leaning on old credentials. Four Color Zack released the edit collection WHY THE LONG FACE in February 2026 and followed it with TOTAL NIGHTMARE in May, continuing a production style built around inventive flips, edits and DJ tools.  His Instagram presence sits at roughly 63,000 followers, with Twitch also prominent in his social profile.

His 2026 bookings have kept him in major nightlife rooms. He played Hakkasan Nightclub in Las Vegas on April 17, and on August 28 — just two weeks before this SideBar date — he was booked at Palm Tree Beach Club at MGM Grand.  Expect hip-hop, electronic music, pop, R&B and left-field edits with very few obvious turns. Saturday is the night for anyone who wants the DJ booth to be the main attraction.

Make It a SideBar Night

Four nights, four distinct personalities, one SideBar week. The venue’s boutique scale, sultry lounge side, signature lighting and VIP-focused club atmosphere make this lineup especially well matched: a plugged-in San Diego selector to start, ALX CRTZ’s Latin-threaded versatility on Thursday, a hometown heavyweight on Friday and world-champion turntable talent on Saturday. SideBar itself positions the experience around high-energy DJs, elevated cocktails, premium service and a room designed to shift naturally from lounge mode into a full nightlife setting.

SideBar currently promotes guest-list entry before 10 p.m. on its DJ event pages, while its VIP program offers dedicated table and bottle-service options for groups looking to make the booth-and-bottle experience part of the night.  Get the group together, dress for the room, and let the lineup decide how late the night goes.
