October in the Gaslamp is already built for late nights, and SideBar’s October 14–17 run gives the week a different personality every night. The venue’s own formula is part of the draw: an intimate boutique nightclub and lounge, seasonal craft cocktails, signature lighting, luxury VIP service, and a club side centered on high-energy DJ performances. SideBar also makes musical range part of its identity, with resident sets moving from house to hip-hop depending on where the night goes.
This week plays directly into that sweet spot. Julz brings San Diego instincts on Wednesday, Nova adds Vegas-tested club polish on Thursday, Neil Jackson shifts Friday toward a sleek bi-coastal sound, and Justin Credible closes Saturday with deep ties to West Coast hip-hop and Los Angeles radio. Four nights with distinctly different energy, but all of them make sense in a room that likes its nightlife polished without feeling too precious.
Wednesday, October 14 — Julz
Julz is the right kind of Wednesday booking: local, flexible, and already familiar with the SideBar crowd. Also known as Julian Dela Peña, he is closely connected to Hickies & Dry Humps, a San Diego party crew with an established presence in the city’s DJ culture. Recent SideBar research places him on Quartyard lineups under the Hickies banner and at 2026 happenings, including the Real Friends anniversary at Gaslamplighter in March and June’s Run It Back party in San Diego.
His sound is open format in the way that actually matters on a night out. Hip-hop, R&B, throwbacks, and house can all enter the mix, with quick switches that let a familiar sing-along give way to something harder without flattening the momentum. SideBar’s recent profile also points to how naturally that style fits a social crowd: Julz can stay recognizable without becoming predictable.
That hometown connection gives Wednesday a little extra bite. This is not a tentative start to the week. Julz already understands the local audience and the venue, so expect a night that feels easy from the first round and much less responsible a few tracks later.
Thursday, October 15 — Nova
Thursday gets sharper with Nova. SideBar’s 2026 artist profile describes the SoCal club-circuit favorite as a DJ whose sets lean into remixes, mashups, turntablist technique, and direct club energy. His recent calendar backed up that reputation, with appearances listed at Palm Tree Beach Club in March, Marquee Dayclub in April, and multiple dates at JEWEL Nightclub in Las Vegas during the spring.
There is a producer-minded quality to the way Nova is presented, too. His active Instagram presence at @dj_nova keeps the club side of his schedule visible, while Headliner Music Club has identified him as a Las Vegas resident DJ and producer in its orbit.
For SideBar, that means pace. Expect recognizable hooks, fast resets, smart mashups, and enough technical movement to keep the set from sounding like a playlist on shuffle. Thursday is where the week starts feeling properly dressed up, and Nova has exactly the clean, high-impact style to push it there.
Friday, October 16 — Neil Jackson
Neil Jackson arrives Friday with major-market polish. SideBar’s recent profile traces his path from Los Angeles hip-hop circles into New York nightlife and notes work at Marquee New York, including a March 2026 booking. The same profile highlights his current role hosting Surface 2 Air Radio on Diplo’s Revolution, putting him in a lane where club music, hip-hop, and new releases constantly cross paths.
His remix résumé gives that crossover instinct some history. The official remix package for Flo Rida’s “I Don’t Like It, I Love It,” featuring Robin Thicke and Verdine White, includes an Elvis Suarez & Neil Jackson Remix. That is a useful clue to what makes his approach work: pop familiarity can sit next to club technique without either side feeling forced.
At SideBar, Jackson should land right in the venue’s luxury-and-edge pocket. Think precise transitions, hip-hop foundations, unexpected pivots, and a set that stays controlled even when the room gets louder. Friday is the night for showing up late enough to make an entrance, but early enough to hear where he takes it.
Saturday, October 17 — Justin Credible
Saturday closes with a name woven into Los Angeles hip-hop culture. Power 106 currently lists Justin Credible on air weekdays and Saturdays from 2 to 6 p.m., where he breaks new artists, interviews established names, and keeps listeners connected to what is happening in hip-hop. His Instagram presence pushes the Justin Credible Freestyle Series and his Power 106 work, so his radio identity stays highly visible well beyond the FM dial.
His history runs deeper through the L.A. Leakers, the hip-hop crew he formed with DJ sourMILK around 2009. Their catalog spans mixtape culture, remixes, and releases connected with names including Future, Wiz Khalifa, Kid Ink, Kurupt, O.T. Genasis, and others. That background matters in a club set because Credible doesn’t approach hip-hop as a stack of current hits; he comes from radio, artist discovery, mixtapes, and DJ culture.
His live club schedule remains active. Tao Group listed Justin Credible for its Good Life Fridays programming at Palm Tree Beach Club in Las Vegas on September 25, 2026, just weeks ahead of this SideBar date.
For Saturday, expect a set rooted in current hip-hop and West Coast records, with room for R&B, Latin influence, and bigger club selections. SideBar hosted him earlier in 2026 as well, describing a style that moves across mainstream hip-hop, West Coast classics, R&B, and party records. This time around, he gets the Saturday closing slot, and that feels like the right place for his combination of radio instincts, personality and crowd awareness.
SideBar After Dark
What makes this lineup work is that the energy changes without the destination changing. SideBar sits at 536 Market Street in the Gaslamp Quarter, pairing a cocktail-focused lounge atmosphere with the louder club side, immersive lighting, VIP service, and a deliberately intimate footprint. The venue itself describes the experience as a balance of upscale style and high-energy DJ programming rather than a giant, anonymous club setup.
So choose the night that sounds most like you, or treat October 14 through 17 as a full SideBar run. Julz brings the hometown connection. Nova brings remix-heavy precision. Neil Jackson adds cross-coast polish. Justin Credible finishes with West Coast authority.
Different sounds, same address, and four very good reasons not to leave your October nightlife plans until the last minute.
